Bella Sara™ Hires Experienced Licensing Veteran To Expand Product Line

Branding to manage North American licensing for the girl’s brand Bella Sara™
SEATTLE,
WASH. (January 14, 2010) Hidden City Games, Inc., publisher and
worldwide licensor of Bella Sara™,
announces the appointment of licensing veteran Sharon M. Bennett as licensing consultant
of North America. Specializing in global licensing, brand extensions and
business development, Bennett will be responsible for Bella Sara’s primary retail development, licensee relations and
sales.
“With 20 years of broad experience
in the consumer products, entertainment and media industries, Bennett will
benefit the company tremendously as we move forward building the brand domestically
and throughout the world,” said George Stetar, Hidden City Games’ vice president,
international and merchandise.
Previously serving as senior
vice president of global licensing and strategic partnerships at Discovery
Communications, Bennett was responsible for worldwide licensing operations for
Discovery’s cable networks and signature brands, including Discovery Channel, Animal
Planet, TLC, Discovery Kids and more.
Bennett also served as senior
vice president of licensing and merchandising for Saban Consumer Products where
she oversaw all North American licensing activities for Fox Family Channel and
Fox Kids Network, and prior to that, she held a number of marketing and
licensing positions at Disney Consumer Products. Most recently, Bennett has launched
her boutique brand licensing consultancy, appropriately named, Bennett
Branding.
Bennett’s initial priorities
will be to continue building retail awareness and bringing on additional
licensees in key categories including apparel, domestics, publishing,
interactive, collectibles and accessories.
Bella
Sara
recently partnered with Sky High International, LLC to design and produce a
variety of stationery items and with Bees and Jam, LLC to produce sleepwear and
intimate apparel for girls. Bella Sara’s
partnership with Jakks Pacific, its master toy licensee, has allowed the
property to increase its expansion in the North American market. Jakks
Pacific’s vast expertise
and impressive track record have helped further develop the brand through distribution deals with toy
stores, mass market retailers, mail-order companies and online outlets.
